A FINE THING - EDWARD T. POLLACK FINE ARTS
A FINE THING: EDWARD T. POLLACK FINE ARTS is a gallery showcasing our inventory of artworks, rare books, sculpture and other collectible objects. The gallery has a new exhibition monthly, opening on the first Friday of every month, in conjunction with Portland's First Friday Art Walk. A FINE THING: EDWARD T. POLLACK FINE ARTS is located at 29 Forest Avenue, Portland, ME 04101, in the Downtown Arts District. Telephone 207-699-2919. The building also houses The Portland Stage, Maine's premier theater company, another art gallery, Susan Maasch Fine Arts, two restaurants, a patisserie/cafe, and a sophisticated and upscale tattoo parlor.
The excellent Portland Museum of Art is only a block away, the Maine College of Art is nearby, and there are numerous other art galleries, restaurants, bookstores, and antique shops in the District. Portland's famous Olde Port area is within walking distance. To reach A FINE THING by car take Route 95 (Maine Turnpike) to the Route 295 exit. Take I-295 to Exit 6A, Forest Avenue. Follow Forest Avenue. We are in the block just before Forest Ave. ends at Congress Street. There is metered parking on the street, and a parking garage just opposite our building. We hope you will visit us.
About Edward Pollack
Ed Pollack has been a dealer in Rare Books, Fine Prints and Drawings, and occasional Objects d'Art for over thirty years. I show and sell work primarily through my gallery A FINE THING: Edward T. Pollack Fine Arts, in Portland, Maine, as well as at Book Fairs, Print Fairs, Antique shows and on the Internet at this Website, Edpollackfinearts.com and at ABAA.org. I have been a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) for 12 years.
I like to focus on the fine and unusual in all of the areas in which I deal. In books my stock consists of over 3000 used, rare and collectible books, with an emphasis on books about Art and Artists, Photography, and Architecture and Design, as well as children's books, other fine illustrated books and first editions of older and modern literature. I presently have an inventory of over 1000 etchings, lithographs, woodcuts, drawings and other print media, as well as an occasional photograph or painting. Objects in inventory include sculpture, pottery and glass, tribal art, and a variety of miscellaneous artifacts.
